About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Travel JFK - Shanghai - Bali - Shanghai - JFK

Out bound we travel JFK - Shanghai 1 1/2 hour layover Shanghai then on to Bali. Return Bali - Shanghai 22 hour layover then on to JFK. Will the 72 hour transit visa be available for me?

Hi, if both stopovers are less than 24 hours, you can just apply for a stay permit directly after arrival at the Shanghai airport. It is easier than the 72 hr free transit permit actually.
