About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

currently traveling through Japan and am flying to Beijing to commence work on the 6th March.

Hello, My education institution is posting me relevant documents to bring with me to apply for my Chinese working visa at your Tokyo office next Monday the 27th. Is there anything else I need to bring/provide? And will I need to leave my passport with you?

Hi, if you are a temporary visitor, then you have to apply through the embassy in person with your visa and entry record for Japan. The embassy will keep your passport during processing.
