About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arriving bejing.

We are in transit to Vancouver (via Bangkok) and have a 6 hour layover so it would be nice to zip into town prior to departure. I would presume we are ok given we apply for the transit visa at the airport, is the time sufficient ?

You can apply for a stay permit after arrival at Beijing airport if you want to go out for sightseeing during stopover. It is easy and convenient. For 6 hr transit, you are advised to take tax or airport express to the city.
