I am about to go to Dali and Cangshan Mountain in january. Since I want to stay just one night, I wanted to book a room in the Higherland Inn in top of the mountain (quoted inside Lonely Planet guide) to save time and enjoying one night at the top of the mountain. I already send an email without answers and i also tried to call... always without answers. Maybe there is some information about this hostel that i don't know. Can you help me please?About the walking. How long does it take to see the main spot of the mountain by walking? the two hour suggested are for the walking? Which path should I follow? You may try this number: Tel：0872—2661599. The one day trip can be arranged like this: Kwan Yin Temple, taking the cable car, Yudai Cloud, Zhonghe Temple, Peach Brook and Er Hai. It is suggested to take a taxi to the mountain from the train station. If you want to use the public bus, you can take the bus line 8 to its terminal. After you get off the bus, you can see the mountain directly.

By Bus how duration and fee ..by taxi duration and fee from Express Bus Station?

By bus: walk north from Express Bus Station for about 600 yards to Municipal Office of Transport (Shi Yun Zheng Suo) Station. Take bus Three Pagodas Special Line to No. 2 Middle School of Dali Town. The bus fare is CNY 2 or 3. The trip takes about 1 hour. Upon arrival, walk to the mountain.By taxi, the fare may be around CNY 50. The trip takes about 25 minutes.

Is there any way to contact the Higherland Inn in Mt. Cangshan?How long does it take to see the mountain by walking?
