Visa for non-UAE resident

Hi, I am citizen of the United States. I am visiting Dubai, but I am not a resident of UAE. I want to travel to China. Can I apply from Dubai even though I am not a resident of UAE?

Jake, I think you should confirm this with Chinese consulate in Dubai. According to the new requirements, the applicants who plan to apply outside of their countries must provide the resident permit for employment or study or other valid and legal status in the third country.
