About Q1 visa

Hi all,
I am a businessman .live in china Zhejiang Yiwu. I have ( z ) visa .so my family is now in china on q1 visa stay 180 days .my question is if the visa valid time is expire so can i extend the visa before the expire ? Please give me the advice for this case because on 1 year entry exit & entry is very problem for me. Can the q1 visa be extended?
