About:China Transit Visa

I have an Indian Passport and am travelling from SFO - DELHI via PEK,Shanghai Airport

I have a stop over in shanghai airport of 19 hours, is there a need to apply for a transit visa. I am gonna stay at the airport itself. Please let me know urgently. I am flying from SFO on 24 December

You won't be required for a transit type since you stay less than 24 hours.
