About:Visa Policy of China

Must the application forms be only submitted to CAVSC for obtaining visas. Is there no other way to apply like China Embassy directly?

According to the rule, ordinary passport holders should file their applications to the CVASC. The embassy doesn't accept such applications except for those who apply for HK, Macau or hold diplomatic or official passports.
