Can a German Passport holder apply for a Chinese Business Visa in the UK?

Hi, I hold a German Passport but I am currently living in the UK. Can I apply through the London Service Center or do I need to apply in my home country of Germany?

But you may need to provide Proof of legal status in London for application, such as valid certificates of residence, employment or student status, or other valid certificates of legal stay.
