About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Visa to China from Macau

Hi, I am Australian living temporarily in Guangzhou now. I have F recently extended for 1 month here in Guangzhou until 6th January 2014. I just need another 18 days to stay in Guangzhou (i.e. until 24th January, 2014) because of my flight to Melbourne , Australia on 2014/01/24. I have already booked and purchased my air flight ticket a month ago.
Can any one help me to get my visa extended for 18 days (until 24th January 2014) or for one month?

Hi, as I know, it can not be extended anymore. But it is easy for you to apply for a new one in HK or Macao. To avoid hassle, you can just apply for a tourist L for 30 days showing your passport, flight ticket and hotel booking. It is not worth to use an agency because it costs a lot.

Sorry, I want to ask you another question. Do you think it is safe to get my passport renewed for 1 year (every three months must leave the country though) thorough an agent here in China. They will take my passport for 12 days or so (they send it to USA I think). The cost is very high.

Don't worry, it is safe. But you are advised to handle this through an authorized agency if you have to apply through them. Please ask your friend or the local business partner if they have any suggestion.
