About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hello, I will be arriving shanghai from Vancouver en route to Australia.

My layover will be about 15 hours. Can I decide when I arrive if I would like to leave the airport or must I have the transit visa in advance. Thanks , Raub

Hi, it is not required. You are eligible to get a free transit permit in Shanghai if you have a confirmed ticket.
