Does 2-weeks extension visa has any effect on my passport or F type application?

Hi, i had visited PRC 3 times on business grounds with F-type. my last visit was stressful in 2010 because 5 days to my stay expiration, i needed more time and i went to immigration in Guangzhou to apply for more two weeks so as to enable me visit some other company outside Gz. After due process at the immigration office, i was given receipt to come back for collection after few days which i did but the officer delayed me for extra 2-months without reason. i suffered to pay bills in hotel for the whole period. I later got eleven days from them but couldn't do anything again but to leave PRC. Now, i decided to start my business again, would the extension affect my application for new one and also can i apply for 6-months double/ 12-months multi entry validity?

So you overstayed for a certain period in Guangzhou? If so, it might affect your new F type application. I say "might" because there are many other reasons that might lead to a failure in application.

Fred, the visa still had 5 more days of validation before i submitted it to immigration for extension. So, should that be over stay? If that was so, why did they immigration accept my application for extension when they knew i would spend months waiting for just 2-weeks extension ? and also why did they gave me collection paper to come for pick up after 7 days?

Don't worry too much, I don't think this extension will affect your application this time. Because it was not your fault actually.
