About:China Tourist Visa

Is the invitation letter mandatory for US tourists to China?

Hi, firstly thanks for the information regarding visa entry to PRC. I'd like to ask regarding number 5, the invitation letter seems like a "either or" thing - if the applicant has a complete itinery and air tickets/hotel confirmation, then the letter is not required. Is my understanding correct?

Thanks a bunch!

Yes, you are totally correct. If you don't have the invitation letter, the round-trip air tickets and hotel booking in PRC are required.
