About:China Visa Application Requirements

Passport with previous chinese visas not available

Hello,

I have dual citizenship, British and Irish. I am applying this time with my british passport. I have had previous Chinese visas, but they are in my Irish passport, and it is away being renewed - I will not get it back in time to complete my application. Will I still be able to apply for it- can I explain this?

Thank you.

No, China does not recognize dual citizneship. So you can only use British passport if you apply in the UK, or apply with Irish passport for application in Ireland. If your previous Chinese visas are not available, you can just apply as the first-time visitor.
