About:China Student Visa

Visa X2 student

I hold an L and expired December 2nd, if i get an X2 before December 2nd i must exit China or no?
and X2 how long for the validity? for example if its valid for 3months and have single entry, its mean i can't exit in 3months to Hongkong/Macau or how?

Yes, a single entry means you can not leave mainland during 3 months. But may I know where you apply for a student X2? as I know, it is impossible to change L to X without leaving.
