About:Hangzhou Travel

luggage from USA through Beijing to Hangzhou

I will land at Beijing from USA
Can I check my luggage through or do I have to go through customs in Beijing?

It depends on the airline companies.
As I know, the Air China has luggage through service in BJ airport and it is only available for some cities. In USA, only passengers on the flights from New York can check their luggages through to its final destination via BJ airport.
If you are not from New York, you need to go through custom in BJ.
