should we take a tour in chengdu?

Hi, I'll be travelling to CD on the Jan.1-3, 2014. What are the highlights you would recommend me to see there? Also, should I take a tour or I can just go by myself to those places? What public transportations available in CD?Thanks!

The Panda Breeding and Research Center, the JInli Street, the Wuhou Shine and the Three-Star Piles Museum are suggested to go. It is suggested to travel alone, but before that you need to prepare all well. You need to search all the related information online. The local subway, public buses and the taxis are the basic transportation.
