About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can't leave the transit city?

I will be transiting through Guangzhou and was planning to make a quick visit to Macau and Hong Kong because I understood that the entire Guangdong region was included in this program. Do I have to remain in Guangzhou?

Sorry, I don't think you can go to Macau or HK because they are not parts of Guangdong Province. Macau and HK are two Special Administrative Regions which are not under the administration of Guangdong Province.
