About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

I'm Filipino and will be going to HK. Could I secure a visa there to shanghai?

I'm getting conflicting answers sine say yes and some no. They say it depends. Please she'd light. Thanks.

No, you should apply for a Chinese visa in advance in the Philippines.

You need one to enter the mainland of China. ( I work for the embassy)
