Is it better to take a train from hong kong to guanzhou then to Changsha or other alternatives?

How long it will take the whole trip from hong kong to changsha through what kind of transportation will be less confusing and take less time?

yes, it is better to get to Guangzhou first and then to Changsha.
it takes two hours from HK to Guangzhou East, and another 2 hours and 40 minutes to Changsha by high-speed train.
