About:China Business Visa

How long can I stay in China if I'm studying there?

Hi, I'm 31 years old and a qualified acupuncturist from New Zealand and I want to go to study with acupuncturists there.
I will be spending two or three days a week observing an acupuncturist in Beijing and he said he can give me an invitation letter. I will be staying with an alternative medicine practitioner just out side of Beijing who I will also be learning from that can give me an invitation letter too.
I'm wandering if anyone know's which visa I should apply for and how what is the longest amount of time they will most likely give me to stay there? I'm in Tokyo at the moment and I can't get through to the Chinese embassy whenever I call them
Thanks

You can apply for business F type for this purpose with invitation letter. The duration of stay should be based on the documents provided, such as the planed visit written in your appliation form and the invitation letter. According to the regulations, the maximum duration of stay can be issued with 180 days per entry.
If you are now in Japan, you need to apply through a local travel agency.
