Train Times and can we change one if we arrive later

Dear Sirs

We would like to book a ticket from Shanghai to Nanjing. We will be flying into Shanghai at 09:35am on Friday, but I do not know what exact time to book. If I book one, and we are late, can we catch the next one with the same ticket? Or will we loose our booking and have to re-book at the airport?

Another question: Is the Shanghai Hongqiao station in the airport? Or do we need to travel from airport to station?

Question: What about Shanghai railway station (not Hongqiao), is this also at the airport or do we have to travel from airport to Shanghai station?

I wait your reply on these 3 questions.

Thanks

Iain

i suggest that you book one after 02:00pm.
you can not catch the next with the same ticket, you have to re-book at the ticket office of the airport or at the railway station.
Shanghai has two international airports, Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao. the Hongqiao station is in the Hongqiao airport. so if you land in Shanghai Pudong, you have to take airport bus or subway line 2 to Hongqiao station.
Shanghai station is at neither of the airports (pudong or Hongqiao), and you have to travel to the station.
