Is there any way for an Israeli to get Chinese visa from Philippines without going back to Israel?

I am an Israeli travelling in the Philippines on a tourist visa and I have been invited by friends to join their trip to PRC. Is there any way to apply here in the Philippines (or maybe at the border?) without being forced to go all the way back to Israel?

I am afraid that you might not get it successfully because you don't have work or study permit there. Anyway, you can try to apply from the Chinese embassy. If not possible, then you really need to go back to apply for it.
