Options for receiving train tickets

I am booking a ticket online and I have an option to "pick up the ticket in person". Does that mean that I can simply pick it up at the station on the day of departure? (or earlier if I am in the area?)

yes, you are right. you can pick it up at the station with your passport and the booking number.
