why did the panda need to be taken away from their mother

Usually, the one panda will give birth to two babies and then it only has ability to take care one of them. The other one will be abandoned in wild environment. In order to enhance the survivial rate, people try to take care of the abandoned one, so this poor baby will be taken away from their mother.
