Well, Guangdong is a province. You must have certain destination in this province, maybe Guangzhou, the capital city of it? If so, you can travel eitther by air or train.
By train: It takes 16h or longer and the ticket fare is CNY201-206 for hard seat, CNY343-367 for a hard sleeper and CNY628-656 for a soft sleeper.

By air: You can reach within 2h and 25min. The fare varies from time to time. Recently, it is CNY800-1300.
