M Visa Extension

Hello, I just got my M with 30 days duration of stay. I am supposed to get a 90 day duration (because I will do business training in Shenzhen) but still they only gave me 30 days, single entry. Anyways, is there any way to get M extension for Indonesian, in Shenzhen or Hong Kong? I am Indonesian, and it will be pretty tough if I have to go back and forth to my home country once every month and there are not much information on the internet about M yet. Hope you can help me. Thank you!

May I know is the M issued with multiple entries? if yes, you can just exit to HK then return to start a new 30 days. It is unnecessary to go back to your home country. If it is a single entry, then it is worth to try to extend it while you are in Shenzhen.

Thank you for your reply Robin, it was a single entry, that's why I am having hard times trying to figure things out with this new visa category.

Hi Ayu. I have a similar situation. I am a long term resident in Indonesia, with KITAS etc. I had to apply for it in Jakarta and was issued a double entry M with a maximum stay of 30 days. I went to Hong Kong and came back and used the second entry. After various enquiries, I went to my local PSB office and was able to extend it for a further 30 days without going to Hong Kong. (Go to the PSB office 7 days before the expiration date so as not to lose time). However the most time they will give is 90 days so theoretically you should be able to extend your current one twice. If you are too late for that you can apply for a new visa in Hong Kong (there are many agents) and then later extend it at the PSB. I had to pay 350RMB for the extension. Hope that helps.
