About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia
If i want to go to shenzheng 深圳 from HK on a day trip do i still need a visa?

Yes, you may apply for the VOA at Luohu border, which allows you to stay within Shenzhen for five days at most.

The whole process is about ten minutes and it costs around CNY 168. Only RMB is accepted.
