Do I need to apply for Chinese visa in Tokyo or it comes under transit G that they issue at the airport in Shanghai?

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen working in Tokyo.
I have booked a ticket from Tokyo to Honk Kong via Shanghai. I will need to change airport in Shanghai as the flight from Tokyo to Shanghai will drop me at Hongquio Airport and my flight to Hong Kong from Shanghai is from Pudong Airport. However, there is only 6 hour gap between the flights.

It is unnecessary, you can just apply for a stay permit after arrival at Hongqiao Airport.
