About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We will fly from Vancouver to Hong Kong, via Beijing

My wife is Dutch and I am Canadian and will transfer planes in Beijing. Since we fly with the same company (Air China) we can send our luggage straight through to Hong Kong and do not need a transfer visa. Our stop-over in Beijing is only 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Do you ask whether you need to apply for a transit visa? If so, I can tell you that you don't apply for it.
