About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Tourist Visa to Z, is it possible?

I have been offered a job as a teacher in China but wont have enough time to get my Z type in time to start on the 1st Sept. They advised me to get a L and change it when I get there. Is this possible?. I dont want to be in trouble there as I dont know how strict they are and I have never been before. Thanks

L is definitely not ok to work in PRC. If you don't want to get into trouble, apply for your Z and then go to work in PRC. Personally, I think policies have tightened after the implementation of the new entry and exit regulations on foreigners on July 1.
