JFK-PVG-SIN, do I need a visa?

Im a dominican republic citizen, Im traveling to Singapore and had to do a stopover (6 hours) on shangai,

Nope, you can enjoy 24 hours free transit in PVG. If you plan to get out of the airport, you need to apply for the stay permit.
