Can I stay in Shanghai with my Dutch passport 15 days without a visa?

I been told by the airline, I booked tickets, that I don't need it for Shanghai if I not staying longer then 15 days but I didn't find that information anywhere on the internet myself. I know about the new 72 hours free transit but in my opinion is that not for people that are going on a cruise from Shanghai and 15 days was new for me! Is those 15 days not for people that are in a organised group? I appreciate some advice.

Hi, it is not true. You need to apply for a Chinese tourist L in advance if you plan to stay for 15 days. You are right that the 72 hour free transit is only for air passengers to a third country only.
