Valid visa transfer to new passport

I'm malysian i renew my passport today but my visa still valid till 31st december 2013(old passport).it is possible to transfer it to the new passport?

Hi, you can use both your old and new passports to enter mainland first and then transfer it after entry.

hi! so i would like to ask if i can just tie up my old passport together with my new passport but not transferring it? thank you.

I am afraid not. But if your visa is for short-term stay, it is unnecessary to do so. If you need to visit China in future, you can use your new passport for application.
