About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Transit at Guangzhou to visit Macau and Hong Kong

Hello All,
I'm going to Bangkok and I have a transfer in Guangzhou. I would like to know if I can use the 72h free transit to visit Macau and Hong Kong.

Yes, you can use 72 hours free transit at Guangzhou Airport.

This is not the case. You need a re-entry visa if you enter Hong Kong and come back to Guangzhou.
