About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Visa for shanghai for 2 day stopover

We are travelling from Cyprus to Hong Kong to go to Hanoi via shanghai as a stopover. Our flight arrives at 19/8/2013 at1500 and leaves 1550 at 21/8/2013 which means almost 42h do we need one and how can we do this for a family? Thank you

Hi, you are free of a transit visa if your stopover in Shanghai is less than 72 hours. You can apply for a free transit permit at the Shanghai Airport with your flight tickets and passport.
