China Post via Brazil! - why so long I am concerned it is lost

Hi - I too was thinking my item from China Post was lost - after reading some other posts here I see it is in Brazil on my tracking info (and has been since the 9th / 20 days now) - why does it take so long in Brazil or is this not normal? Mine was a small package (A4 envelope size approximately) and I am concerned at the time it is taking: rb501148275cn is the tracking number.
Anyone who could shed some light about how long things usually sit in Brazil would be appreciated.

Yeah, it is strange that the information is not updated for so long. And it still shows that your package was in the state of "Arrival at inward office of exchange of Curitiba, Australia " on Jul. 9. You may receive it within 3 to 5 days. If not, you should go and consult your local post office.

Thanks Wendy - unfortunately as Curitiba is in Brazil I do not think I will see it any time soon. My local post can not help me until it arrives in Australia and the 'seller' is not responding to contact to see if they can help from their end - very disappointing - and why I was hesitant to buy online from China in the first place. Guess I will give it another week or so and if there is no update on the number lodge a complaint....for whatever that is worth!
