About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Complicated route - can I stay for 72 hours?

Hi, thinking about doing such a flight:
Milan-Shanghai (stay for 24 hours)
Shanghai - Tokyo
Kyoto - Beijing (stay for 72 hours)
Beijing - Madrid
Is it possible to stay twice in such case?
