how long it takes to get transit 72h visa at the airport?

What means to inform airlines that I need transit visa? My travel agent asked Aircanada to confirm request for a G type one during booking flight ( Toronto - Beijing -72h- Moscow), but airline answered that they now about it, but no prior request via airlines

If you stay for more than 72 hours at the airport, you won't enjoy the 72 hours free transit. Then you need to apply for a G type one in advance before you leave.
