About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

multiple entry tourist L with regular exit to HK/Macao

understand that there's a 30 day limit. when I'm nearing the end of the 30 day stay, I'd need to leave for another country, and return for a new stay of 30 days. is hong kong considered a "country" that I could go, and be able to come back into mainland for another 30 days? or do I have to go to a different country (other than hong kong)? what about macau? thank you.

From my understanding, yes. I am in the same situation and I will probably have to go to Hong Kong. As long as you leave mainland PRC.
