Stopover / transit

Hi, my girlfriend - Philippines citizen - will travel from the Philippines to Europe soon. There will be a stopover (transit) at Guangzhoue (CAN) for a few hours. Is there a fee or visa required for this transfer? She will not exit the airport. Thanks/ Daniel
