train connection in shanghai

Question

I have a train from suzhou to SH followed by train from SH to Beijing. The time difference between train arrival at SH and train departure from SH is 50 min. Will I be able to change trains. Can I change from one platform to another platform at SH railway station without coming out of the railway station.how do I know at what platform the train from SH to Beijing will depart.

Yes, you have to change the trains and change the platform from one to another, but it is no need to going out of the station. It is hard to tell you the platform now, because there are many trains in one day in different platform. You can easily find the platform by following the direction boards and the announcements in the railway station can also help you.
