how can i spend a day in shenzhen?

I'm going to Shenzhen-Dongguan for wedding photo shooting. I will arrived Bao'an airport in the morning around 10.30am, but the pick up arrangement was fixed at night (around 7-8pm). Thus, I would like to know where can I go for a half day trip or shopping , and back to airport at the time mentioned.

Since you only have half day and will need to back to the airport, I suggest you take advantage of the time to do some shopping in downtown area. The main shopping places in Shenzhen are East Gate, the Mix City, Coco Park, Huaqiang North, etc.
