About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

My schedule is Seoul_Beijing_Pyongyang

My schedule is Seoul_Beijing_Pyongyang. I will pick up my visa for Pyongyang in Beijing as there is no embassy in Seoul, maening an overnight stay in Beijing. I will have onward ticket from Beijing to Pyongyang. Do I still qualify for the 72-hour free transit? I return to Seoul from Pyongyang via Beijing but will connect to a flight the same day.

Hi, may I know if your overnight stay in Beijing is longer than 24 hours? If not, visa is not required. You can apply for a stay permit after arrival at the airport if you need to go out for a hotel.
BTW, if your stopover is longer than 24 hours, both visa and ticket to Pyongyang are required when you apply for the 72 hour free transit. So, you may need to get a transit G in advance.
