About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Will I be allowed to stay on the airport?

I will be reaching shanghai on 7th July afternoon and will leave for my final destination on 8th July.
Will I be allowed to stay on the airport. As I will be catching up with few friends at the airport itself in the transit area . Since I have Indian passport, so I guess 72 Hours transit free move is not applicable.
Please suggest.

Hi, it is ok if your stopover is less than 24 hours, and you can stay in the airport transit area for your connecting flight.
