Can an American apply for a Chinese visa in Greece?

I'm a USA citizen/passport holder who is planning on traveling in Greece from July 27 until Aug 3. I plan to travel around mainland PRC right after the trip, and I want to go directly from Greece. here's my situation. I have been living and working in PRC for the past 2 years, and my work Z ended in June. Right now, I have a 30 day, double entry, tourist (L), which will end around August 5. I have been traveling since my job ended, and I want to travel for another month or 2. So, with this background, what type can I get in Greece.
