can an american apply for a chinese visa in greece?

HelloI'm a USA citizen/passport holder who is planning on traveling in Greece from July 27 until Aug 3. I plan to travel around mainland PRC right after the trip, and I want to go directly from Greece. here's my situation. I have been living and working in PRC for the past 2 years, and my work Z ended in June. Right now, I have a 30 day, double entry, tourist (L), which will end around August 5. I have been traveling since my job ended, and I want to  travel for another month or 2. So, with this background, what type can I get in Greece.

Hi, if you current L is valid until Aug 5, you can use it to enter mainland PRC first and try to apply for an extension at local PSB. BTW, it is possible for you to get one in Greece.
