About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

If i have a 14 hour stopover in Shanghai can i leave the airport?

I wont be checking into a hotel as it is during the day, but was hoping to head out of the airport and look around if possible? Do i need a visa? Can i get one before i get to China to save time?

Yes, you can leave the airport and you don't need to apply for one in advance.
