About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Am I allowed to apply for a visa? Which type should I apply for?

I am a UK passport holder and I wish to marry a Chinese National and live in China. Any other helpful advice would be welcome.

First, you need to apply for one. What do you mean "live in there? I think you may apply for a Z type one and then apply for the permanent resident permit.
