According to the current policy, the visa is not needed if you do not get out of the airport.
I suggest you to pay attention on the visa policy recently. It is said that the 72-hour visa free policy will be put into effect recently in Baiyun airport. Until then, some policy may be changed.

Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately, I couldn't convince China Southern Airline in Malaysia about this regulation. Although China Embassy mentioned that I don't need any visa for transit flight but CSAirline asked me to provide them China Visa because I'm Iranian!!!
I wish I could attach their response here, that they write " CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES ARE REQUIRED IRAN NATIONALITY TO APPLY CHINA VISA TO TRANSIT IN GZ IN DIFFERENT DATE OF TRAVEL FROM GZ TO AUCKLAND EVEN THE CONNECTING LESS THAN 24 HOURS"
