About:China Transit Visa

Do I need a transit visa to leave the Airport for a few hours?

I am a Malaysian as I will be in transit in Pudong Airport for 14 hours flying to Kuala Lumpur.

No, you just need to apply for a stay permit when you arrive. Then you can get out of the airport.

Thanks for the reply Kelly. I am sure my wife will be glad to hear it as we can visit Shanghai city for a few hours.
Just another question: where can we get the stay permit?

Hi, you can get it at the Entry Frontier Office within the airport.
